To stay safe and compliant, audits are advised either: - Annually- 6-monthly- Or when racking is re-configured or re-positionedIf you change the use of a rack, it must be Certified “fit for purpose”. Maintain your Racking to maximise safety and compliance, and minimise risk.An inspection and report will give you the required information on safety and potential for risk, as well as a schedule for any rectification / maintenance. Audits usually comprise of a written report with two sections:
1: Rack specifications list, & load ratings for each rack
2: Damage and non-compliance list detailing:
*The exact problem, the location of each problemand the steps required to rectify the problem.
This list is colour coded according to the severity or hazard risk factor of the problem:
*Red category - Immediate action
*Amber category - unload until rectified
*Green category - routine problem
*White category - recommendation only
*Inspection date & repair date column for use when problems are being rectified.
On satisfactory completion of repairs a Certificate of Compliance will be issued.
